My sister Kathi has convinced me that my eagles are red tailed hawks. Still no small bird with a wing span of over 4 feet. I should have done more research, but I guess I wanted the birds to be golden eagles. I still plan to keep watch over them during the summer. Unlike eagles they may have as many as 5 chicks. Red tailed Hawks do not have to have any red on them at all depending on which sub-species they are.
